Basic Life Support (BLS) is a course designed to teach healthcare professionals and students the basics about cardiac resuscitation in both pre- hospital and in facility settings, teaching both single rescuer and team basic life support skills. Our course covers topics that are up to par with Canada’s leading experts in resuscitation science and education, as they are fully accredited by the Heart and Stroke Foundation. While providing realistic scenarios, simulations and animations showing rescuers, teams and patients, students will be able to effectively learn proper techniques for administering CPR.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a course designed to teach healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and/or other cardiovascular emergencies and CPR in pediatric patients (ex. physicians, nurses, paramedics). It is a video- based, instructor- led, advanced course that focuses on a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, BLS, effective resuscitation and team dynamics to improve quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children. CIMRO incorporates the newest standards in the use of the intraosseous vascular access device in all of its courses. We also offer a stand alone EZIO certification class that meets all college standards for delegation. EZIO is an industry leading device shown to be more effective then IV levels of vascular access. EZIO, much like its name implies, is very easy and effective and is a delegated medical act after the required training is obtained for Nurses Paramedics and Physician assistants. Our certification level course is a stand alone 8-hour certification day.

Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
CIMRO offers certificate programs for nurses in Trauma Nursing Core Course (NCC) and Neonatal Advanced Life Support. The course is designed to teach individuals and teams that may be required to resuscitate newborn babies. NOTE: The NRP certification is valid for 24 months and will need re-certification after that period.

Electrocardiograph (ECG) Interpretation
CIMRO offers a wide range of ECG interpretation courses, accommodating those who are beginners and experts in the field. We offer courses from lead 2 to lead 15 and we can accommodate any skill level. This course usually runs over a three-month period of time and includes home based learning. Combat Medicine in the Austere Environment
This course encompasses real world in-field simulation and practice. We cover the most advanced life saving skills that a practitioner needs to know to save a life in the first hour of severe penetration or blast injury. This course focuses on mass causality and disaster emergency management.This is an expert level program aimed at Military and Law enforcement exclusively. This program offers certification in ACLS and PALS as part of its process. Much of the ‘lessons learned’ from our extensive war trauma experience and mass causality response worldwide are incorporated into this training.
